Academy teams enjoy success at Winter Classic 

Eclipse Academy took nine teams to the 2010 National Fusion Winter Classic the weekend of Feb. 19-21 and seven of those teams made the finals in their respective brackets, with four winning first-place trophies. 

On the girls side, Solar Eclipse 01, managed by Alyson Mohn and Sir McMillen, captured the U9 Silver bracket.  Cosmic Eclipse 00, managed by Todd Ericson, was a finalist playing up an age group in the U11 Bronze bracket. 

On the boys side, Lunar Eclipse 02, managed by Chris Brandt, captured first in the U8 Silver bracket.  Galaxy Eclipse 01, managed by Mario Rivera, defeated Lunar Eclipse 01, managed by Desmond Murphy,  to win the U9 Gold bracket.   

Cosmic Eclipse 00, managed by Paul Till, won the U10 Gold bracket.  And Lunar Eclipse 00, managed by Kenneth Bhalla, was a finalist in the U10 Bronze bracket.

Lunar Eclipse debuts with Winter Classic win The newly formed Lunar Eclipse 02 boys captured first place in the B grouping of the U8 Silver bracket of the 2010 National Fusion Winter Classic, Feb. 19-21. These were the first games the boys ever played together and they started in style, with five different players scoring goals over the weekend while conceding just one goal per contest.  Lunar Eclipse won 3-1 over Toros, drew with Houstonians Red 1-1 and won their final match against Houstonians 03, 2-1.   Lunar Eclipse is managed by Chris Brandt.  Well done, boys!
